My Last Day at Work...

Alas, the time has come and today is my last day here at work. In some ways, I am quite mad because usually today is "Work-From-Home-Friday" for me. But today, I need to come back for my exit interview, and to return my laptop, security token, etc.

Since this is my first time leaving from a real job, I'm not quite sure what I should do before I leave. Am I supposed to leave my mark at my cube by writing invisible paragraphs on my desk using a highlighter, and send out a mail to the future cube resident five years later and tell him to turn off all the lights and turn on the black light to see what had been passed down to him in the cube?

All jokes aside, it is a very strange feeling to leave a place that I've considered home during my last four years. I have made so many good friends here that really molded me into who I am today. I am genuinely appreciative of the opportunities that were offered and am very grateful that I decided to accept an offer to work here four years ago. I guess as Steve Jobs said, it will be a new beginning for me, and I will hopefully be able to connect the dots by looking back in the future.

Speaking of Steve Jobs, why do all successful entrepreneurs have such a knack in motivating folks? I really thought the way he ended his commencement speech was great. "Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish" will definitely be the motto that I will live by for the rest of my life...
