Govenor has two more days left to decide whether or not Stanley Williams should be executed on Tuesday.
For those who haven't been following this news. Stanley is some dude who was found guilty in killing a few people back in 1979. He was also the co-founder of some gang back then. However ever since he's been in jail he's turned his life around 180 degrees.
I think he probably shouldn't be executed. If George Bush got re-elected after murdering thousands in Iraq, why shouldn't Stanley, especially since he's already been in jail for so long?
Williams' fate now up to governor

agree..he's even been. But as long as this doesn't grant him freedom. You can't take back a death. Bush should be put on trial for war crimes!
No to attack you Rico but to address your comments. I think it is just socially popular to bash Bush(or who ever is the current person of authority). And it is real easy to sit back and say 'I would have done x,y, and z differently'. It's not easy to put on his shoes and make the decisions he has to. But I won't get too deep in thought on this post...
But I feel Tookie, on his OWN merit, has gained clemency. True, you can never bring back a life. But I don't see the point of not giving him full freedom. Why keep him in jail? For punshiment?
The way I see it , the only true reason for pushishment is so one will turn from their ways and do better next time. If that person never gets a chance for a "next time" then what's the point of the punishment? How is the world better off?
It gets me how jails call themselves "correctional facilities" then turn around and lock people up for life or kill them. Where's the correction? Killing people sends a message to me that certain people can not or should not get a chance to correct themeselves. Which I feel just takes away from society has a whole. Tookie obviously has made a better life change since he's been in jail. And effected many people's life positively.
And finally, with somewhere around 80% of Americans practicing Christianity, why would we wish this man dead?

Issue with that is he'd technically would be getting away with murder....I wouldn't want people to get the idea they could commit murder and then 20 years be a free man?.....well OJ did
